Morning Prayer

Dear Lord,

I know that every time I open Your word there is something that You want me to hear, something that is meant specifically for me. It is so amazing to me that You had me in mind all those years ago when the Bible was written. Thank You for loving me that much.

I pray, Lord, that I what I read this morning gets into my heart. Thank You for showing me what I need to know. Help me to apply it in my life the way that You want it applied. Help me to use Your word and Your instruction to become the woman You want me to be, the one You created me to be.

In the precious name of Jesus I pray.

Amen

I agree with you on this one, Lynn. I don’t know why, but since Ivan went home to be with the Lord, a little over a year ago, God has made His Word so personal to me. Things I have read over and over again have suddenly become packed full of totally new meanings. I know it was there all the time, but maybe it is just that He adds more meaning to it when we need it the most.

    Lynn,

Thanks for sharing your beautiful prayer. I too, believe that writing is a ministry for me. I am just getting started though. It’s in there, and with God’s help it will come out when and where He wants it to. And in the process change me as He sees fit. Thanks so much for sharing your heart.

  4. Lynn,
I have been thanking the Lord for all that he has done for me. I too have asked(just this morning!) that he help me apply my talents to glorify him and help others. You are a true inspiration to me.

  5. How calm I am with God in my life. How stress I feel when he’s not. How happy I am when I pray. How sad I feel when I don’t.
God is peace in my life and prayer is a must.
    Best,
    Debbie

    Hi Lynn,
Thanks for posting this prayer! It’s beautiful & personal. I’m sure many people have the same sentiments when they read the Bible. I know I do.

  8. Lynn, At times I forget what my purpose is in this life because of all the traumatic things that have taken place in it. But yet I know that I could never really live without the love of my lord and savior Jesus Christ. Thank you for this lovely blog and may God bless you…
